Yes. You can create a character and play in a web browser for free. Optional purchases are available, but no payments are required.
Is this a single-player game?
No. You can pursue many activities at your own pace, but HVR is a persistent multiplayer world. Other characters, Leagues, Arenas, Wars, events, and cooperative raids are central to the experience.
Do I need to install anything?
No desktop installation is required. HVR runs in a modern web browser, and your character data is saved to your account.
Can I make a villain or antihero?
Absolutely. Heroes, Villains, and Renegades share the world, and your chosen identity can be as noble, dangerous, complicated, or strange as you like.
